Betty Warren

Betty E. Warren, 76, of Savoy, formerly of Homer, passed away at 11:54 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Accolade Healthcare in Savoy.

A celebration of life service will be 5-7 pm on Wednesday, September 13 at Homer United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main Street in Homer, with Pastor Heju Nam officiating. A meal will be served immediately after the service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in Patriot, Ohio. Homer Funeral and Cremation Services, 708 S. Main Street in Homer is assisting the family with arrangements.

Betty was born October 25, 1946 in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of Willard Allen and Magdalene Kiser Grate. She married William J. Warren on April 2, 1969 in Urbana. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna J. Grate McDaniel and her brother, Charles Grate.

Survivors include her daughter, Ronda (Gary) Sullivan of Homer; son, Blane (Lori) Warren of St. Joseph; sister, Debra Lynn Grate (Timothy Burnette) of Gallipolis, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing Elvis songs and collecting coins and red glass.
