Elinor L Lutz

Elinor L. Lutz, 90, of Homer, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Homer Funeral and Cremation Services, 708 S. Main Street in Homer with Rev. Wade Stein officiating. Burial will take place at G.A.R. Cemetery in Homer. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Elinor was born July 24, 1932 in Olney, IL. She was the daughter of Leroy and Bernice McWilliams Nettleton. She married Wayne Lutz on October 29, 1950 in Olney. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2006.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeannine (Tim) Robinson of St. Joseph; sons: Michael (Donna) Lutz of Sidell, Kent (Dana) Lutz of Homer, and Rodney Lutz of Olney; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Becky Lutz and brother, Max Nettleton.

Elinor was a member of Ogden Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crafting (made ceramic gnomes), sewing (made her own clothes) and gardening. In her later years, she enjoyed coloring books.
