Roger B Wingler

Roger B. Wingler, 82, of Homer, passed away at 5:09 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, May 13 at Homer Funeral and Cremation Services, 708 S. Main Street in Homer. Pastor Steve Burwell will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Roger was born March 29, 1941 in Urbana, the son of Walter and Lucille Randall Wingler. He married June Burwell in October 1962 in Thomasboro. She survives.

Survivors also include son, Jay (Lisa) Wingler of Benton, KY; daughter, Penny (John McCracken) Qualls of Homer; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Roger was a truck driver, working for Rinker Trucking in Florida before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family.
