Thomas Franklin Carter

Thomas Franklin Carter, 94, of Homer, passed away at 6:30am on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at his home.

There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Homer Funeral and Cremation Services, 708 S. Main Street in Homer is handling the arrangements.

Frank was born February 24, 1928 at home in Vance Township, the son of Charles M. and Mabel Craig Carter. He married Beverly J. Moore on August 23, 1947 in Homer. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Chuck (Karla) Carter of Homer and Todd Carter of Fairmount; daughter, Kimberly (Christopher) Hays of Bloomington; 1 grandchild; and 2 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 older brothers.

Frank was a member of Homer United Methodist Church. He was an agricultural engineer for the Department of Agriculture. He was an animal lover and raised baby squirrels. Frank liked spending time in the woods and liked to roller skate, even having his own outdoor rink. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.
