Wilma Ann Humphrey

Wilma Ann Humphrey, 81, of Homer, passed away at 8:05 am on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, September 1 at Homer Funeral and Cremation Services, 708 S. Main Street in Homer. Rev. Dean Rose will officiate. Burial will take place at G.A.R. Cemetery, Homer. There will be a visitation from 5-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

Wilma was born June 20, 1942 in Broadlands, the daughter of Clyde and Evelyn Mitchener Smith. She married Joseph D. Humphrey on June 21, 1958 in Longview. He preceded her in death June 27, 2004.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Donna Bixler; sons, Clifford Humphrey and Stanley Puckett; many brothers and sisters; and twin great great grandsons.

Survivors include son, John Humphrey of Homer; daughters, Judy (Frank) Costa of Champaign and Mary Jane (William) Hancock of Homer; brother, Darrell (Jane) Smith of Broadlands; sister, Beverly (Steve) Kent of Oracle, AZ; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Wilma worked at Collegiate Cap and Gown until her retirement. She enjoyed travelling when she was able. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.
